Climate Literacy in FUSD
After many months of campaigning with dedicated individuals and organizations from across our district, the climate literacy resolution has finally passed! IHS MEGA and the rest of the team appreciates all the support in these past few months 🤍🌿

E-Waste Drive
February 2021
Irvington MEGA and PTSA partnered to host this e-waste drive and gave the students of Irvington the opportunity to dispose of their e-waste safely .
Youth Climate Summit
November 2020
The Youth Climate Summit was a 3-day event that aimed to raise awareness and educate elementary school students on the causes and destructive effects of climate change. Here's what the kids had to say!

Wands for Wildlife Wandraiser
September 2020
MEGA collected 70 wands from Irvington High School students and mailed them to Wands for Wildlife. The mascara wands will be repurposed by this organization to help remove fly eggs and larva from the fur and feathers of wild animals.
Plastic Free July
July 2020
Plastic Free July is a global movement challenging people to take climate action by lowering their plastic use. We brought Plastic Free July to our school by sharing one plastic-free idea each day of July and inspiring students to go plastic-free. A total of about 30 students participated, avoiding major plastics in their everyday life. Learn more about our Plastic Free July ideas by watching the videos below.
